Veronica Wilson is an immigration lawyer and the founder of Roots Immigration Law. She has extensive experience offering strategic legal advice and assistance to individuals, families and businesses. She has represented clients in all areas of Canadian citizenship and immigration law such as work permits, study permits, visitor visas, family class applications, skilled worker applications through the Express Entry System, and Provincial Nominee Program applications.
Veronica is the Co-founder and Legal Director of TalentLift Canada and Legal Advisor to Talent Beyond Boundaries, where she assists refugees and people in displaced circumstances in relocating to Canada through the Economic Mobility Pathways Program. Through this work, she has pioneered the emerging legal practice and publications on creating access to Canada’s economic programs for applicants in displacement and exploring labour mobility as a complementary avenue for refugee resettlement.

Prior to completing her Juris Doctor at the University of Ottawa, Veronica taught English and lived in South Korea for several years. Her volunteer work with North Korean refugees and human rights advocates inspired her to pursue a career in immigration law with a focus on social justice, equality and inclusivity.
